Power words set you up for success in the upcoming year, while New Year resolutions set you up for failure.
You are meant to be here in this world to share something fully significant and wonderful. This is not woo woo or means that everyone is special! It’s a truth and those who realize they are special, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
As the current Gregorian Calendar year comes to a close, the opportunity is ripe for New Year resolutions, setting you up for failure. The mentality of being something different, bringing in a new regiment, routine, or ritual is daunting, and when it’s not accomplished can set you up for failure.
Rather than focus on a resolution, focus on integrating your soul and purpose of yourself into the world through a Power Word.
What is a Power Word?
Power word – a word to live by for the Gregorian Calendar to gain lessons and insights. Your life can become a stage for this word to bring lessons to you creatively. You can return to this word at any point during the year. It serves as a lens to view experiences, lessons, jubilations, and milestones. A powerful word sets the tone of how you experience the year.
Why Choose A Power Word Over a New Years’ Resolution?
By choosing a power word, you open your life to the fullness and possibilities that are limitless in our nature. There are many diversions, things out of our control, and particular habits challenging to change. Therefore, choosing a word is a way to navigate into a new way of being slow.
There are compassion and grace in the timing of our lessons. The word allows us to revisit moments in our lives and reflect on how that word played out in our actions and choices. Compassion is often overlooked when making life changes. Having support through our changes is also overlooked especially when change can bring on anxiety and fear. Making room for a word to dictate the pace of life provides more opportunities for nature to show itself in support.

Extra Notes on Power Words
I chose this practice at the beginning of 2014. The first year I chose 4 words — WAY TOO MANY WORDS. Every year since, I choose ONLY ONE word. This attention to one word may seem simple, but it can be quite challenging to narrow down your life into one word.
I found that each year the words build upon the other, and I’m continuously revisiting the previous years’ words.
Attempt to find only one word.
Once you create your word, please send me an email to share your Power word.
If you’re struggling to find a word, send me a message, and we can work it out together.
