In Herbs As Teachers, I guide you through the practice of herbal immersions and why they’re the cornerstone of herbal education.
This unique approach to herbal study provides an experiential understanding of herbs deeper than what you read in a book. The experience provides a source of integration of herbal knowledge and plant medicine.
What makes Herbs As Teachers unique from other courses is it’s a hands-on experience with herbs. You are provided with a full Apothecary kit throughout the course to experiment as I teach how to build a framework for your journey.
Students leave the course confident in their herbal knowledge, how to conduct an herbal immersion, why the digestive system is key to health, a clear path forward in their herbal studies, and support.
A certificate is available at the end of completion with the recorded hours applicable to your American Herbalist Guild Requirements.
All of the live classes are a chance to be in a classroom format and ask any questions you have about herbs to April.
The course is built around a diverse and supportive community that is joined together by the gratitude of nature, the desire to form relationships with herbs and understand their connection with nature.
You will have the opportunity to share and learn from each others’ experiences and individually track your progress through my one-on-one consultation.
The program is designed to set the foundation on herbalism and explore herbs in greater depth. You not only enhance your communication with the herbs, but you’ll also have the resources and support to continue conducting a self-study after completing the course.
Most importantly, you will walk away with a framework specifically designed for you and create your own rituals to enrich your life-long journey through herbalism. A daily ritual is a key to integration.
This course. is perfect for those who are beginning in herbalism ad those who have herbalism education but still feel lost.
Our modern medical system focuses on symptoms and finding the “cure.” rather than understanding you.
Modern medicine searching for cures is missing the component of communication with our bodies. spirit, and mind.
Therefore, applying the same modern technique of ‘this drug for that symptom’ to learning herbs leads a student of herbalism down a long, challenging path when learning alone because it lacks a holistic approach to healing.
Likewise, in the ceremonial plant medicine world, there is a lack of integration through daily rituals. There is a missing component of working through your discoveries and integrating them into your life and connection to nature.
Reading books and online research creates limitations in learning herbalism because the majority of resources contain only small portions of information. Within the texts, there are lists of symptoms that the herbs assist with, however, the most important knowledge is omitted, which is how to form a connection with the herbs.
Going to the herb store and experimenting without guidance is one way to connect to herbs, yet there isn’t a framework or path created for you to learn.

Learn how to engage with the plants through herbal immersions. A process where you work with one herb at a time, journaling your experience and applying this ancient technique to your future discovering of new herbs.
Take a deep dive into a daily ritual of ingesting herbs, learn the cycles and rhythms of the earth and you.

Herbal Energetics
The principle of energetics is the original way we learn about ourselves, plants, and the cosmos. These principles exist in the teachings of all early cultures. Learn how herbs + you achieve balance using ancient and intuitive principles.
We’ll connect to the mystical landscape of energetics through the four directions, elements, and the hidden teachings within the plants.
Rituals of Earth
Learn how to create altars utilizing the energetics of the four directions and how these altars in conjunction with herbs and flowers provide a ritual for healing.
We will connect to our ancestors and other earth materials through your altar.
You will leave confident in creating your own personal rituals for transformation and healing.
Mental Health and Boundaries
Mental health and Boundaries are connected and the herbs are here to help guide you into the care of your psyche.
Mental health is more than balancing your mind or thoughts. Mental health is tied into other body systems, which we will learn how to apply a holistic approach to mental health.
We also reflect on how herbs can assist with creating healthy boundaries for empathics.

We provide you with a starter pack of the herbs you’re learning in this course. This supply is the beginning of your very own apothecary, giving you high-quality herbs for the herbal immersions during our program.
Clinical Evaluation
One (1)- 30-minute one-on-one online meeting with April Rameeé at the end of the course.
April checks in personally throughout the whole course, however, any extra time with April may be arranged for a discounted hourly rate
Community Forum
As an online group, we connect through WhatsApp. Here we’re able to share photos of our time, ask questions, and support the group learning.
Live Online Classes
There are 5 LIVE classes where we come together to discuss herbal immersions, be a community, and questions from the lectures, which are sent out each week for your review. This is your opportunity to ask and share our experiences.
This means we work together to co-create our class time. This is an integral part of the course.
All classes are recorded and uploaded and sent to each student to have for a lifetime.

Do you recommend working with one herb at a time?
The Herbs as Teachers Course works with one plant at a time, The plant immersion allows you to have a really great understanding of each plant individually. This is best conducted under the guidance of an herbalist.
Is there a scholarship for this program?
