How Does Destroying People in Relationships Relate to Business?

Maybe it’s not what you’d expect, but think about it—when you truly disrupt, you shake up patterns that people didn’t even know they were stuck in. And that goes beyond just personal relationships; it’s a force that flows into every part of life, including business, creativity, and spirituality. This recent thought sent me into hermit mode and also ignited my sacred rage.

I often find myself in hermit mode when fabulous creations and dangerous thoughts gestate within me. It’s an instinct, a calling to retreat and let ideas simmer in silence, away from external noise. There’s a time to honor this, to sit with the weight of new realizations, let the soul-shattering truths settle, and give myself space. Integration can become stagnant if you’re ready to bring your new truth to light but hesitate because you know it will disrupt the status quo.

So then comes the inevitable question:

Is it wise to stay hidden, or is it time to bring these insights to the world?

In the Tarot within the journey of the major arcana, specifically through the Chariot, Justice, Hermit, and Wheel of Fortune cards beautifully illustrate the energies at play:

  1. The Chariot (VII): is the call to adventure, a journey outward, propelled by sheer will and a burning desire for discovery. It’s the energy of going all-in, boldly on a mission to uncover something more profound.
  2. Justice (VIII): seeks truth and negotiates what aligns with our highest purpose. It’s about balancing what we’ve learned facing our new truths without bending to what’s “acceptable” or convenient.
  3. The Hermit (IX): comes next—the withdrawal, a period to allow these truths to settle within us. In this space, we integrate without interference, honoring our journey and allowing our new insights to become embodied. This isn’t isolation for isolation’s sake; it’s a chance to cultivate inner wisdom that will shape how we return to the world.
  4. The Wheel of Fortune (X) is the moment of emergence, a fresh cycle turned by the universe. Here, we’re called to re-engage, share what we’ve become, and let the world feel our new truth and be changed by it.

In many spiritual seekers’ minds and desires, there’s an illusion that we’ll return from our sacred journeys gentler, more compliant, and somehow easier for the world to accept. But often, the opposite happens. The deeper I go, the more I discover how unpalatable my truth can be to others. The truth disrupts. It shakes the very foundations of what people know and expect.

So, here’s a question I ask myself—and one I’d love for you to reflect on, too:

How are you a disruptor?

  • In what ways do you naturally challenge the status quo?
  • Have you, even unknowingly, compromised parts of yourself to fit into a vision of enlightenment or acceptance that others can more easily digest?

I’ve found that people don’t often welcome the disruptor. Even in sacred spaces, there’s pressure to conform. To mold our truths into “acceptable” forms.

When I reflect on my industry as an herbalist, I never fit in. Luckily, I don’t feel it’s an industry created for those who fit in, but I do notice that I’m not your average herbalist, and I’m not here just to tell you which herbs to take for specific ailments.

I’m here to guide you through a transformative journey. A journey into trusting your gnosis and commanding space within your community.

Those who work with me don’t come looking to fit in—they come to uncover their own disruptive gifts and find strength in standing unapologetically in their truth.

Recently, I spoke with a client who embodies this disruptive energy in her small town. People constantly ask her for packages, wanting her to fit into a model they’ve gotten used to in the coaching & psychedelic industry.

I asked her, “What if you didn’t? What if you broke the status quo? What if you told people something radical—that they could support your vision for the community by giving you money?”

She lit up. It made sense to her that her vision is a gift to the community, and there are no packages; there is only an investment to provide the community with what it’s been missing and yearning for, but there is no model for it there. She is the disruptor, the one who is paving the path.

Integration is setting the tone for others to break free from expected frameworks and live their truth. We’re here to shake things up, not to fit into preexisting molds. That’s how true healing and transformation take root.

I don’t fit into anyone’s mold. I am true to the earth, to my mission, and in time, people realize this disruptor path is about seeing through illusions and inspiring rebirth.

This path isn’t always easy. It’s often lonely, sometimes painful. But I know that my mission, and the mission of those who resonate with this calling, is to serve the highest good. Some people are ready for their illusions to break down. Others resist, projecting their discomfort back onto me. And that’s part of being a disruptor—knowing that not everyone will understand or welcome the changes you bring.

I want everyone I work with to access this part of themselves, to recognize their own disruptive power. To see that the changes they instigate—however subtle or bold—are essential for building a world aligned with truth.

In a way, being a disruptor is about sacred rage, the kind that tears down to rebuild. It’s about accepting that sometimes things have to shatter to clear the path forward. Fighting this process only keeps us from the transformation we’re meant to embody.

It’s about realizing that a disruptor is full of so much LOVE that they can’t do anything but shine so brightly they fuck shit up.

Every day, I practice surrendering to this truth, even when it feels heavy. I find solace in the plants that embody this cycle of death and rebirth—the earth itself knows the rhythm of destruction and renewal, and that’s where I draw my strength.

So, I’m wondering: Where do you draw your strength?

While writing this, I was processing my first-year harvest of Salvia officinalis—a plant known for its wisdom, grounding, and resilience. I remember the first time I drank this as an overnight infusion for a week. For the first time in my life, I could regulate my temperature. I could sit in my freezing cold office without needing a heater and so many layers. It was the most freeing moment in my life. I realized it was possible to show up to hell (which was frozen over) and still feel like a star bathed in the warmth of the goddess. It reminded me that we can withstand anything when rooted in who we are.

All I hope with this prose is that if there’s a part of you that you’ve been holding back, waiting for the “right time” to bring it forth, share it and shine brightly.

Let this be your invitation: embrace your inner disruptor.
