There is more to herbal education and life than what appears on the surface. Our courses are a profoundly transformative experience in co-creation with and connection to Earth and Cosmos, creating a holistic approach to studying your body, mind, and nature.
This is different from your typical herbal school. Instead, we weave ceremony, ritual, and herbal education elements to discover the mysterious tapestry within you, ready to be displayed to the world. You leave this course understanding how being in tune with the natural rhythms of nature is not only spiritual but grounded and paramount for survival and innovation in our divine work.
No more studying in the books alone, searching for information on the Internet, and seeing conflicting thoughts.
Learn how to trust the plants while infusing modern medicine and science together. We believe all medicine is connected and needed, and in our school, we’re bringing it together so you can be educated holistically.
In this online herbal apprenticeship, you will work closely with me and a group of budding herbalists, conducting sacred meetings with the plants through your dream space, meditations, and herbal remedies.
In this training, there is an opportunity for personal reflection on herbal energetics, how we relate to the ever-changing world and share our soul purpose in the world, establishing a routine to stay in contact with nature, and increasing overall physical and emotional well-being and mental health.
Simultaneously, we learn the Anatomy and Physiology of the body systems for a well-rounded understanding of how herbs interact with bodies.
The apprenticeship is online, with live meetings on Zoom. Join a community of individuals dedicated to learning about plants through a mystical lens.

Learn how to engage intimately with the plants through a weekly immersion where you work with one herb at a time, journaling your experience, and applying this ancient technique to your future discovering of new herbs.

Herbal Energetics
The principle of energetics is the original way we learn about ourselves, plants, and the cosmos. These principles exist in the teachings of all early cultures. Learn how herbs + you achieve balance using ancient and intuitive principles.

All of the classes are LIVE, which means we are not doing pre-recorded classes.
This means we work together to co-create our class time. This is an integral part of the course.
All classes are recorded and provided for you to keep for a lifetime.

Logistics
Botanical Mystery School Foundations is a 9-Month program divided into Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters.
Spring Semester is March 1 -May 30th
Fall Semester is September 1st – November 30th
Live classes once a week for an hour and a half on Tuesdays
7:30 pm EST – 9 pm EST
5:30 pm MST – 7 pm MST
4:30 pm PST – 6 pm PST
During class, you are learning Anatomy & Physiology, botanical curriculum, Mystical curriculum, and herbal preparations.
Required Reading is part of the curriculum. There is a book list and suggested soul work (aka homework…but who wants to do homework when you can do soul work?)
Summer Semester is June 1 – August 31st
During the summer semester, we do NOT meet live. However, there is a required summer project. The summer project is simple to complete, not time intensive, and offers the student a creative and specialized herbal study of their choice with guidance.
In July, an optional in-person retreat in New Mexico: dates and Cost TBD.

Is there an Herbal Certificate?
You receive a certificate showing how many hours were spent learning certain categories & courses according to the requirements of the American Herbalist Guild.

Approximately 800 Hours of Herbal Medicine Education and 400 hours of Clinical Experience.

Do you recommend working with one herb at a time?
The foundation of Botanical Mystery School is to create a relationship with one plant at a time. The plant immersion allows you to have a great understanding of each plant individually. This is best conducted under the guidance of an herbalist.
How Do I Find the Herbs for the Course?
We provide you with an herbal apothecary kit with every herb you need for the course. You learn how to prepare them.
There are over 26 herbs you are working with.
Are books required for this course?
Yes, you receive a book list and a syllabus for all detailed information.
Will I get a consultation with April before the course?
Yes, you get a 30-minute consultation with April, so she can see where you’re coming from and if you have any contraindications with the herbs you’ll be studying.
If there are contraindications, herbs are provided that are safe.
Am I required to grow plants for this program?
No, April provides all of the herbs for this program.
Is this a beginners class?
The course is great for all levels. If you are a beginner, there is enough information to give you confidence in learning.
If you’re familiar with herbs, there is an expansion of beginner topics in this course.
With the guidance and your daily practice, you will leave the course confident to move on to the clinical herbal program.
Will I have access to the materials after the program?
Yes, everything is recorded, and you will have access to it as long as the tech companies that hold the videos are around.
Is there a scholarship for this program?
The scholarships are filled for 2024
